WHY TEAMS JOIN THE MSSL?

• The league was established in January 2004 as a 501 c3 non-profit youth sports organization and is recognized by the state of Texas and the IRS
• We are the “Doing More With Less” summer swim league having the lowest membership rates in San Antonio. An all-inclusive $11 per swimmer fee covers medical, liability, sexual abuse & misconduct insurance, league dues, and all entry fees to the division championship and all-star meets
• The league is an inclusive organization that welcome swimmers with disabilities to compete on its teams
• Swimmers of all levels can join and compete
• The league provides an organized structure for teams with consistent leadership, open communication, and a one team one vote policy in the decision making process for the league
• Shares money saving tips and information with all member teams
• Conducts free training clinics for judges, swim software, new team reps, and new head coaches
• Offers a free mentoring program for all newly-forming summer league teams
  
• Schedules fun—yet competitive—dual, division championship, and all-star meets for swimmers to participate in
• Supplies dual, championship, and all-star meet awards for teams
• Runs free annual criminal background checks on all teams' coaching staffs
