ALL STAR MEET

Parking: 1 small parking lot in front of pool, additional street parking, & in the parking lot of the Krueger Elementary School just down the street. CAR POOLING HIGHLY SUGGESTED DUE TO THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE ATTENDNG THE MEET.
NOTE: Cars will be ticketed for all parking violations—too close to corner, blocking a driveway, parked the wrong way, in a fire lane, etc. as police will be on site.
DO NOT ARRIVE BEFORE 4 P.M. as the set-up will still be taking place!

Meet programs: $1 Facility details: 8 lanes by 25 yards outdoor pool

Spectator seating: bring chairs and shade for the grassy areas outside the pool’s fenced area—can come inside pool area to watch child swim, then return outside of pool area
Restrooms: There are boys and girls restrooms inside the main entrance of the pool
Concessions Stand: a variety of affordable foods and drinks will be sold at their concession stand
Team seating: Seating area in the grassy areas and on the cement for swimmers and coaches. There is no pre-assigned seating. Bring shade!
Team packets: See the Donna Witt, MSSL President, for copies of heat sheets and relay change forms
Relay cards: Coaches making name changes on relay teams must do so NLT 30 minutes prior to the meet’s beginning. All relay cards with changes are given to the Head Scorekeeper. At least 3 out of the 4 swimmers from division championship team must be swim at this meet.
Meet entries: Are automatic, therefore no entries will be sent by the coaches.

All-Star Meet Qualifiers: The 1st place winner for individual and relay events from each Division automatically qualifies for the All-Star Meet. The next five (5) fastest times from any of the three (3) divisions makes up the remaining heat of swimmers. If a swimmer cannot attend the All-Star Meet, the lane remains empty. At least 3 out of the 4 placing swimmers on relay team must swim at the All-Star Meet or the lane remains empty. After the last Division Championship Meet is finished on Sunday evening, the three division meets are merged. A list of all qualifying swimmers and relay teams will be posted on the league web site on the All-Star Meet page. The information is sent out to all Team Reps and Head Coaches as soon as it is received. There is a very tight timeline between the divisionals and All-Stars, so be patient.

Warm-up Practice Times: A Head Coach from participating MSSL teams will be assigned to conduct each lane’s warm-ups. Swimmers do not be warm-up by teams as the number of all-star athletes from each team varies.
1ST Warm-ups: 4:45– 5:15 p.m. for 10 and U
Lanes 1 & 2 – All 6 & U swimmers
Lanes 3 & 4 – All 7- 8 swimmers
Lanes 5 & 6 – All 9-10 swimmers

2ND Warm-ups: 5:15-5:45 p.m. for 11-18 year olds
Lanes 1& 2 – All 11-12 swimmers
Lanes 3 & 4 – All 13-14 swimmers
Lanes 5 & 6 –All 15-18 swimmers

Timers’ meeting: 5:15 p.m. by the awards’ area
Coaches’ meeting: 5:45 p.m. poolside Meet begins: 6 p.m.

There will be a mid-meet break for the awarding of HIGH POINT TROPHIES FROM THE DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MEET, SCHOLARSHIP PRESENTATIONS, AND A FUN COACHES’ RELAY.

READY BENCH: NO READY BENCH AREA for this meet. Swimmers report directly to their lanes.
Coaches are responsible for getting the younger swimmers to their lanes. There should never be more than 3 swimmers at each block—1 getting ready to swim and the next 2 swimmers to compete.

Parent Volunteers: Each team will be asked to provide parent volunteers to work at the meet as usual. The
league cannot assign these positions in advance. Be ready to volunteer!
